Meet The Board!

 

President: Grace Lynch is a senior this year at Newtown High School, and a part of Chamber Choir, Singers, Girls Acapella, the Tri-M Music honors society, and she performs in the NHS musicals. Along with her high school extracurriculars Grace has had the honor to perform and to continue performing the National Anthem, for events in her community. She has been in choir for  twelve years, this is Grace's third year teaching voice lessons and her second year on the board.

Vice President: Kyle Boughan is a junior this year at Newtown High School, he is the current Woodwind Captain of the Marching band, as well as being a part of the Jazz Band and Wind Ensemble. He has been doing Saxophone for 6 years. This is his second year teaching Hemma, and his first year on the board.

Secretary: Willow Assante-LaBash is a sophomore this year at Newtown High School. She has played the piano for 7 years, and played the clarinet for 5. This is Willow's second year teaching for HEMMA, and her first year on the board.

 Treasurer: El Glassman is a senior this year at Newtown High School. They have been a percussionist for 4 years and were previously a cellist for 4 years as well. They were previously part of the marching band for 3 years. This is their third year teaching HEMMA and second on the board, serving as Vice President last year.

Recruitment Director: Kiersten Banas is a senior this year at Newtown High School. She has been playing the piano for 8 years and been playing the flute for 7 years. She competes in the Fairfield County Young Musician’s Festival sponsored by the Schubert Club every year with the piano for the last 5 years. This is her third year teaching lessons and her second year being on the board.
